When is one satisfied?

I’m constantly reminded of the Rolling Stones classic Satisfaction. I’d like to think that never being satisfied with a task is a sign of a perfectionist. But there is such a thing as being overly obsessed with perfection. How can one decide when to step back, take a look at a job and say to oneself, “Well done!” ?

I can’t get no satisfaction,
I can’t get no satisfaction.
’cause I try and I try and I try and I try.
I can’t get no, I can’t get no.

That is the chorus, as sung by Mick Jagger. The complete lyrics can be found here. In the old days, I could’ve posted a link to the mp3 itself.
